For the foremost well-heeled among us, the typical run-of-the-mill super sports car cannot meet our needs. If transport with a six-figure price tag is not exclusive enough for your taste, there is the 2020 Bugatti Chiron. The Chiron costs nearly $3 million, and it is about as exotic as hypercars. With flowing curves and furiously cross-eyed headlights, the exterior design of this coupe conveys power and performance, and its standard 1500-horsepower engine gives it acceleration capabilities that deserve a bullet. The Chiron's cab is deluxe, but storage space is minimal and amenities such as driver assistance technology and an infotainment screen are missing. Although this Bugatti may not be the primary choice for something as mundane as a daily commute, it excels as a head-turning pleasure object and all-round performance machine. What's new for 2020? Bugatti is adding several new variants to the Chiron range for the 2020 model year. The Chiron Sport 110 Ans Edition is based on the Chiron Sport and was developed as a tribute to the 110th anniversary of the brand. It features a two-tone exterior colour and accents using the three-coloured French flag. Only 20 of these very special models will be built. Bugatti also welcomes the Super Sport 300+ to the Chiron squad, and only 30 of them will be offered to the general public. The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ 2020 has almost an equivalent specification, as the car, which set a record of 304,773 mph on the Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany, is powered by a 1578-horsepower engine. A handling-focused model called Pur Sport will enter the lineup in the last half of 2020. Engine, transmission and performance
The Chiron, Chiron Sport and Chiron Super Sport 300+ are motivated by an 8.0-litre 16-cylinder power plant. This beast of an engine uses four turbochargers to deliver powerful 1500 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. Bugatti claims that the Chiron makes the dash from zero to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds, and its top speed is 261 mph. If the Chiron's standard engine doesn't quench your thirst for speed, intensify it with the Chiron Super Sport 300+. This model is equipped with a slightly more powerful version of the lower power plant and produces 1578 hp. Under the direction of factory driver Andy Wallace, a model with specifications almost exactly like the Chiron Super Sport 300+ set a record of 304,773 mph when pushed on the track by Bugatti. Every model in the Chiron range is powered by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that delivers power to all or all four wheels. Interior, comfort and cargo
The exterior of the Chiron has a C-shaped design cue cut into its side walls, and this element is also present in the car's cabin. It is reflected in the graceful curve of a partition separating the driver and passenger. Bugatti has clad the Chiron's cabin in first-class materials, and so the interior carries spatiotemporal styling elements that lend it a whimsical charm. A flat wheel welcomes the driving force, and Bugatti claims that the gleaming centre console is formed from one piece of solid aluminium. With the Chiron, it's best to pack light. The trunk offers only two cubic feet of cargo space. Infotainment and connectivity The unique Chiron, specialized in performance, brings compromises to the infotainment front. This Bugatti works very much like a racer, and it is the slimmed down tech content to match. There is no infotainment screen, and features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability are not offered. The car's infotainment amenities are limited to an audio system and a visitation computer only. On the plus side, the audio system delivers impeccable sound quality and features four tweeters, each using a single diamond cone for precision output. that's what you'd expect from a car with a price tag that starts within the millions. Fuel economy and Real-World MPG
As you would expect from a car with a 1500 hp engine, the Chiron will not win points for being environmentally friendly. in accordance with the EPA, the 2019 Chiron will achieve mileage (we hesitate to use the words "fuel economy") of 9/14 mpg city/interstate. This performance is bad enough to put this Bugatti on the EPA's 2019 list of the smallest efficient cars. We assume that the 2020 model will deliver identical figures.
